You don't necessarily think about golf as a sport that can lead to big injuries. Sure, there are plenty of long-term pains that can come from swinging a club a million times a year, but in the short-term, golfers getting injured — especially while playing — is somewhat rare.
Tell that to Lucas Glover, though, who slipped while approaching from 197 yards out on the 18th hole at Glen Oaks Club. Glover, who was playing in The Northern Trust Open, fell to the ground while hitting the ball.
The Northern Trust Open isn't the biggest tournament out there, but Glover's injury was still caught on film, which you can see below:
It wasn't a gruesome injury by any stretch of the imagination — this is still golf, after all — but it's hard not to feel bad for Glover, who was clearly in pain. What makes it worse is the fact that this isn't the first time he's hurt himself. Rex Hoggard reports that Glover had sprained the very same knee in 2012.

Glover did receive medical attention and if there's any good news here, it's the fact that he ended up finishing the hole, though he did get a bogey.
