After quarterback Joe Burrow decided to leave Ohio State behind and head south to compete for the starting job with the LSU Tigers, many in Louisiana now have the graduate transfer pegged as the starter for head coach Ed Orgeron. Burrow has two years of eligibility remaining, and he's quickly turning the LSU staff's heads.
That leaves three other quarterbacks on the roster that, according to Orgeron, "all have a viable chance to start at LSU and play." At least one of them disagrees, and will be leaving the program for good.
Lowell Narcisse Jr. is a homegrown prospect hailing from St. James High School in Louisiana.
Coming out of high school, the four-star prospect was the ninth-ranked dual threat quarterback in the country, and the No. 10 overall player in the state of Louisiana.
Narcisse has decided to take his game on the road and leave the crowded quarterback room of Burrow, junior Justin McMillan and sophomore Myles Brennan behind in Baton Rouge.
The redshirt freshman quarterback doesn't have a landing spot, but one destination he's flirted with before would assure Narcisse gets a crack at his former team.

During his recruitment, the 6-foot-2 and 240 pound quarterback made official visits to LSU, Alabama, Auburn and Clemson. Prior to his junior season though, Narcisse committed to play at Auburn.
Let's be clear: no one is going to challenge Jarrett Stidham for the starting role this upcoming season. However, the junior quarterback may leave for the NFL after this season, which would leave a big hole in Gus Malzahn's offense.
Could Narcisse choose to stay in the SEC and bide his time with another Tigers team?
At the very least, the thought of seeing a Narcisse versus Burrow, Auburn versus LSU showdown would make for a GREAT college football game.
With Narcisse gone, three horses remain in LSU's quarterback race.
Best of luck to the redshirt freshman, but don't expect this to be the last time we hear the name Lowell Narcisse.
