Kansas and Villanova might have given us the game of the weekend as the Wildcats prevailed over the top overall seed in the tournament 64-59. It was a tight game all the way through and it really was a shame that someone had to lose because both teams played a superb game.
Villanova found a way to limit Perry Ellis to only four points and made him absolutely disappear down the stretch of the game. Devonte' Graham finished with 17 points and hit all but one triple for the Jayhawks. The only other three came from Frank Mason as a desperation shot near the end of the game to bring it within one point.
Kansas couldn't get any semblance of an offense together most of the game though and that's what really cost the Jayhawks. They shot a solid 46 percent from the floor and even held Villanova to 40.4 percent shooting, but there was never any rhythm for KU. Villanova will head to the Final Four to face fellow No. 2 seed Oklahoma.
