Fittingly, Pruitt is reportedly building his coaching staff in similar fashion.

Sources told Sports Illustrated's Bruce Feldman that Georgia outside linebackers coach Kevin Sherrer is expected to join the Vols' staff as defensive coordinator, along with former Bulldogs defensive line coach and associate head coach Tracy Rocker and Florida defensive line coach Chris Rumph, both of whom will serve as defensive assistants.

Sherrer and Rocker both coached alongside Pruitt at Georgia from 2014-15, while Rumph served as an assistant with the coach during his previous stint at Alabama from 2011-12.

Pruitt was officially introduced as Tennessee's head coach on Thursday night. The Alabama alum has served as the Crimson Tide's defensive coordinator during the past two seasons after having previously held the same position at Georgia (2014-15) and Florida State (2013), where he helped lead the Seminoles to a national championship.

Pruitt had also previously worked for the Tide as a defensive assistant from 2007-12 and as a graduate assistant in 1997, as well as a high school assistant throughout the state of Alabama from 1998-2006.
