The Badgers revealed something interesting last Thursday as coach Paul Chryst was prompted about the absence of wide receivers Jazz Peavy and George Rushing from the team's injury report for practice. Jesse Temple of Land of 10 shared the interview.

Chryst's indication that "both are not with the team right now" is revealing on a number of levels, but perhaps the most interesting assertion is that "there is a lot going on in these guys' lives" and that both have been prompted to "take some time away from football." From a football standpoint, the absences have been ongoing for a while, as Rushing has not played this season while Peavy hasn't appeared since October as a result of what the program describes as "personal reasons."
Make no mistake, the Badgers could certainly use all the play-making they can muster against their remaining opponents, but it is definitely going to hurt in the next two weeks with games against Minnesota and Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship.
