The Green Bay Packers fired defensive coordinator Dom Capers earlier on Monday and now they seem to be shuffling the front office around as well.
Ted Thompson will not return as the GM of the Green Bay Packers but will remain with the team. The front office will go through a reorganization with team president Mark Murphy defining new roles for current members of front office, per league and team sources.

Thompson has not been fired or released by the team and it would appear that he will actually stick with the team, but in a different role. That role has to be determined and a full GM search will be underway for the Pack. Thompson came in as the GM in 2005 and was responsible for drafting Aaron Rodgers and of course the Packers won a Super Bowl during his tenure in 2011.
However, Thompson's last few years drafting have not been great and he has not given Rodgers the help on either side of the ball that he needs to win more championships. He did draft Mason Crosby, Jordy Nelson and Clay Matthews though so he certainly knows how to find talent.
