Georgia quarterback Faton Bauta has decided to transfer from Georgia.

Bauta released a statement through the Georgia athletics website stating his intention to transfer after his graduation in May. Bauta will be eligible to transfer without sitting out the usually mandatory year.

From Bauta's statement:

""In my four years at Georgia, this university and this football program have allowed me to grow as a man and as a football player. I cannot thank Coach Richt, my coaches and my teammates enough for all they have done for me. I will always be grateful for my time in Athens."

Bauta only started one game for the Bulldogs at quarterback, a disastrous four-interception appearance against Florida in Jacksonville. Bauta's strength is supposed being a dual-threat quarterback and many questions were raised about Mark Richt's future with the school after Bauta threw 33 times in a 27-3 loss.
