When the Miami Hurricanes are at their best, the program is "building a wall" around the city of Miami when it comes to recruiting. Mark Richt might not have that level of dominance going just yet but, on Saturday, the 'Canes picked up an impactful commitment from just down the street in the form of four-star 2018 running back Camron Davis.

Davis is the second big-time running back in the 2018 class for Miami, joining five-star Lorenzo Lingard to form a potentially dynamic pairing .The 5-foot-10, 191-pound ball-carrier from Miami Carol City (Fla.) ranks as the No. 15 overall running back in the 2018 class and given his skill set, there is plenty of reason to believe that Davis can grow beyond that during his senior season in high school.
At the time of his pledge, Davis held 16 total offers, including Michigan State, Wisconsin, Oregon and one that he previously committed to in Oregon State. It will be interesting to see if Richt and his staff look to add yet another running back option in this class given the impressive profile of the two players already committed. Even if the Hurricanes "stand pat", though, fans can be very happy and optimistic about the backfield for years to come.
