New Georgia head coach Kirby Smart got a huge pick up to his first 2016 recruiting class. Four-star defensive tackle Michail Carter (6-foot-4, 302 pounds, Jackson, Ga.) announced he would be signing with Georgia, not Alabama, who was also heavily recruiting him. Carter even got creative and brought in a live bulldog into his announcement ceremony.

Smart's 2016 class, although it is technically transitional since he's just arriving in Athens, has a solid foundation with a commitment like Carter's. per 247Sports, Carter is the No. 15 ranked defensive tackle in the 2016 class.
