Four-star defensive end Hunter Echols (6-foot-4, 231 pounds, Los Angeles, CA) announced late on Friday evening that he had decommitted from UCLA.

This is an enormous loss for UCLA. Echols is one of the top rated defensive linemen of the 2017 recruiting class. He is ranked as the No. 4 defensive end by Rivals, and he is a Top 100 overall recruit by both Rivals and 247Sports.

Where could Echols be heading now? 247 currently list Arizona as the new favorite, but of course, that might not be too reliable considering he just decommitted. He also holds offers from Alabama, Michigan, and Notre Dame, among others.
UCLA now only has three recruits left for their 2017 recruiting class. However, one of them is five-star Jalaen Phillips, who is the No. 4 overall recruit in the country.
