It looks like a loss and some controversy this weekend wasn't enough to sway this recruit away from his dream school.
Rivals four-star cornerback/athlete Elijah Hicks (6-foot-0, 185 pounds, La Mirada, CA) was in South Bend this weekend for a visit to the Notre Dame and Stanford game. Even though Stanford won and Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly got into it with a Cardinal coach, Hicks liked the atmosphere enough to announce his commitment to the Fighting Irish.

247Sports first reported Hicks' commitment. Hicks was also considering Washington, UCLA, and Oregon.
Notre Dame lost the commitment of four-star DE Donovan Jeter on Monday, but it looks like the Fighting Irish get another four-star to fill that spot in their 2017 class. Notre Dame is currently ranked No. 6 in the nation in recruiting by 247Sports.
