Aubrey Solomon has an interesting history with the Michigan Wolverines. The five-star defensive tackle from Lee County High School (Ga.) was once committed to play for Jim Harbaugh and company but Solomon famously backed off that pledge on the heels of a mail snafu that justifiably irked him and his family. On National Signing Day, though, it appears that all is forgotten, as Solomon chose to spend his college career in Ann Arbor.

Michigan's 2017 class was already seen as a top 10 group nationally across the board, with some analysts including the Wolverines among the top five even before this high-profile addition. In Solomon, Harbaugh and his staff add another blue-chip prospect, as the 6-foot-3, 288-pound defensive tackle ranks as the No. 25 overall prospect in the 247Sports composite and as the No. 2 player overall at the position.
The incoming group for the Wolverines is chalked full of four-star prospects and Michigan's class is extremely deep. With Solomon, though, Michigan picks up a second elite player to complement wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones on the other side of the ball and the fact that the Wolverines beat both Alabama and Georgia (the in-state power in this case) makes the pledge even more impressive.
