The college football season is just around the corner, and one prominent ESPN writer just released a ton of predictions for the year ahead. On Monday, ESPN's Mark Schlabach released his predictions for 2016, including who he sees making the College Football Playoff come December. Schlabach says that he thinks Alabama will undoubtedly get a bid in 2016 — meaning the Tide will beat both LSU and the SEC East champion in the SEC Title game.
Who are the other three teams he has making? Schlabach is predicting the Clemson Tigers to repeat as ACC Champions and earn a bid, along with the Michigan Wolverines and Oklahoma. Essentially it's the exact same group as a year ago, with the exception being Michigan. Below is Schlabach's pick for the National Title, which the college football world would be thrilled to finally see.
Alabama will play Michigan in the national championship game," Schlabach writes, "Which will be preceded by an eight-day Twitter war between Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh and Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin. Sadly, the Twitter war will be more entertaining than the actual game."
The 2016 college football season kicks off Thursday, Sept. 1. It'll be here before we know it, folks. Click here to read Schlabach's other predictions.
