From the very moment Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins hit send on his tweet Thursday morning, the entire sports world has been in awe. That's because the message was beyond generous and an incredibly uplifting moment.

In learning about the death of Jazmine Barnes, a 7-year-old girl who was killed in a seemingly random drive-by shooting in Houston, Hopkins decided to dedicate his playoff game check from Saturday's AFC Wild Card Game against the Indianapolis Colts to her family.

What an unbelievable gesture from the three-time NFL Pro Bowl selection, who has a career-high 115 catches for 1,572 yards and 11 touchdowns this season.

When I see Jazmine Barnes' face, I see my own daughter. I'm pledging my playoff check this week to help her family with funeral costs and to support @shaunking @SherriffED_HCSO @SylvesterTurner in bringing this man to justice. On Saturday, I will be playing in your honor, Jazmine pic.twitter.com/oCRYSgfGO9

The NFL playoff game check is worth approximately $29,000 and will go to Jazmine Barnes' family to help pay for funeral costs. The 6-foot-1 superstar pass catcher also is in support of bringing her killer to justice.

"When I see Jazmine Barnes' face, I see my own daughter. I'm pledging my playoff check this week to help her family with funeral costs and to support [civil rights activist Shaun King, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez and Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner] in bringing this man to justice. On Saturday, I will be playing in your honor, Jazmine."

Jazmine Barnes was killed early Sunday morning in eastern Harris County when a man in a red pickup truck shot inside the car driven by Jazmine's mother. There were three other children inside the family's car.

A GoFundMe account for Jazmine's funeral has raised over $40,000, and a $100,000 reward is available for information leading to the rest of the killer.

Add in Hopkins' donation, and it's amazing to see how the Houston community and people across the country are supporting Jazmine's family during this tragic time.

All it took was a simple tweet to make a difference, and everyone should now be even bigger fans of DeAndre Hopkins for helping get justice for seven-year-old Jazmine Barnes.
