During Dan Patrick's show on Wednesday, he got into discussing the Peyton Manning-Andrew Luck situation that led to the prior bolting for the Denver Broncos and the latter taking over as the face of the franchise in Indianapolis. The conversation tilted to could you ever see Tom Brady leaving New England, and that's where Patrick admitted he's heard "quiet talk":

"There's quiet talk of could Brady end up in another uniform to end his career. Denver is the team, believe it or not, that I hear that...I see Kirk Cousins ending up in San Francisco. Something has to happen with Jimmy Garoppolo over Tom Brady.

"You'd have to convince the fan base Jimmy Garoppolo is the option."

Brady is a five-time Super Bowl champion, 12-time Pro Bowler and arguably the best player in the history of the NFL. There have been whispers over recent years that Garoppolo is the quarterback-in-waiting, but this seems to be taking things to an entirely new level.

As Patrick says, there would have to be a situation where the Patriots see enough in Garoppolo to move on.

For the Broncos, it follows the trend of John Elway lucking into a veteran quarterback and somehow reviving the offense. After another year of Paxton Lynch and Trevor Siemian, Broncos fans may be hoping for the next quarterback savior sooner rather than later.

Denver defeated the Patriots, 20-18, to head to the Super Bowl for Manning's final run in 2016. The Broncos also knocked New England out of the playoffs in 2014, 26-16. The Patriots last beat the Broncos in the playoffs in 2012, beating the Tim Tebow-led Denver team 45-10.
