Former Super Bowl champion Rodney Harrison is the latest to slam San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick following his decision to sit during the national anthem. It's just not for the reason most of the country has slammed the quarterback for.

During a sitdown interview with iHeartRadio, Harrison pushed back against Kaepernick's stance, but not for the action itself, rather his racial mix. (H/T Sporting News)

"I tell you this, I'm a black man. And Colin Kaepernick — he's not black," Harrison said. "He can not understand what I face and what other young black men and black people face, or people of color face, on a every single (day) basis. When you walk in a grocery store, and you might have $2,000 or $3,000 in your pocket and you go up in to a Foot Locker and they're looking at you like you about to steal something.

"You know, I don't think he faces those type of things that we face on a daily basis."

Kaepernick was adopted by two white parents, but his birth mother was white with a black father.

"I'm not saying he has to be black, but I'm saying, his heart is in the right place, but even with what he's doing, he still doesn't understand the injustices as a black man, or people of color, that's what I'm saying," Harrison said.

From a Fox news host to current players, it seems everyone has an opinion on Kaepernick's stance.

Coming off of shoulder surgery, Kaepernick is considered an on-the-bubble player for the 49ers. After three standout seasons in San Francisco, Kaepernick is coming off of the worst year of his career.

He tossed for just six touchdowns and five interceptions, completing 59 percent of his passes.
