Texas head coach Charlie Strong has seemingly been on the hot seat forever, even though he is just now wrapping up his third season in Austin. Some of the Longhorns faithful have grown impatient with the alleged lack of progress under Strong, and with Tom Herman potentially available, Strong could be at the end of his tenure at Texas.
One of the big questions about a potentially Strong firing would be if he deserved it or not, as many feel that three years simply isn't enough time to gain a true indictment of what Strong can do. It took Strong a couple of seasons before he led Louisville to a 23-3 record between 2012 and 2013. Many feel Strong could be on the verge of that kind of breakthrough at Texas, but he has one major stat that could be working against him.

That stat? If the Longhorns lose of their remaining games on the season, Strong will statistically be the worst coach in Longhorns history.

Would that be a fair reason to boot him? Not really, but that won't stop some from jumping to that justification.
The worst part for Strong? Texas has had Top 10 recruiting classes in each of the past two years, so whoever inherits that job will have plenty of talent to work with.
