"I remember getting out of the hospital feeling like death, with a medical taper plan of meds and thinking, 'What have I done to myself?'" she wrote.

"I celebrated my 30th birthday 5 days later and I remember wanting to die."

Bonin said she started abusing alcohol to "deal with the chemical imbalances, panic attacks and sadness/depression" she was experiencing.

"I'm fortunate enough to have pulled myself out of it all and was able rebuild my life ...but I can seriously empathize with anyone who is, has been, or has a tendency to be an addict (we're all addicted to something)," she added. "But it's about self awareness and humility. Never be too proud to ask for help. Be able to wake up and look at yourself in the mirror."

Bonin, who won season three of the NXT reality show in 2010, left WWE in 2014 after several years on the main roster. She has since continued a career in body fitness, which included launching the "Celestial Bodiez" fitness clothing shortly after departing from the company.

However, another recent Instagram post of Bonin participating in wrestling training has led to speculation that she was planning on making a return to WWE.

With a clean bill of health, hopefully Bonin will make a successful return to the ring sooner rather than later.
