The 2018 NFL Draft is in the minds of many observers of college football with good reason and that is especially true of the top quarterbacks in this year's class. One such player is UCLA's Josh Rosen and, despite a relative lack of team success this year, he continues to receive immense praise from those who evaluate the position when it comes to NFL translation.

On Saturday night in the midst of Rosen's performance against arch rival USC, former NFL scout and player Bucky Brooks chimed in and, among the ways he described Rosen was the characterization that he is "one of the best pure passers" that Brooks has seen in person.

Let me correct my previous tweet.. I'm not overstating Rosen's talent when I suggest that he's one of the best pure passers that I've seen in person. He has a gift that few QBs possess

This isn't the first time that Rosen has been lauded for his pure arm talent but, in short order, Brooks made sure to note that Rosen isn't a one-trick pony and is actually an undervalued athlete.

Rosen gets miscast as a non-athlete but he ranked as a Top 10 junior tennis player as a kid. He shows good lateral quickness and movement skills within the pocket. Tennis background certainly helped develop those traits. (Just like Drew Brees)

No one would mistake Rosen for a completely finished product and it is tough to evaluate him based on UCLA's struggles. Still, it is easy to see the talent when he is throwing and there will be plenty of time for pundits and scouts to weigh in before he becomes an NFL player.
