RELATED: This center's decision could change the landscape of college basketball

Duke might be getting the top center in the class of 2017 in Marques Bolden, but it looks like the Blue Devils will have a lot more depth in the frontcourt with or without Bolden. Amile Jefferson was lost last season before the season was even halfway over with a serious foot injury.
He was a senior last year, but it looks like he will be given an extra year of eligibility by the NCAA. Jefferson has been granted a medical hardship waiver. He averaged 11.4 points and 10.3 rebounds last season before the injury in December. That pretty much forced Duke into a six-man rotation that was both not ideal and taxing on the guys who did actually play.
With Jefferson back and a top recruiting class coming in, the Blue Devils should expect to play a lot more guys and be able to get guys rest at crucial times in the season as well.
