One of the most consistent programs in college football just got another top notch recruit.
On Saturday, four-star linebacker Alan Tisdale (6-foot-3, 203 pounds, Greensboro, NC) announced that he was committing to Virginia Tech.

Tisdale, ranked as a four-star by Rivals, picked Virginia Tech over Louisville, Notre Dame, Ole Miss and N.C. State. He also had offers from Maryland, UNC, and West Virginia, among others.
With the pickup, Virginia Tech now has 15 commitments for their 2018 class, and they rank 14th overall in the recruiting rankings over at 247Sports. The Hokies weren't in a bad spot when legendary coach Frank Beamer retired, but second-year man Justin Fuente has been able to come in and insert some energy into the program after some less-than-stellar years from the usually stout program.
