Sometimes the lower-tier schools put out the best gear.

The Akron Zips will apparently debut their "Fear the Roo" helmets — their mascot is a kangaroo — in their season-opener against Oklahoma. Here is what they look like.

Those... are awesome. They probably won't help Akron in their game against the Sooners, but at least they can say they walked out onto the field in Norman in style.
