The recruiting process can take a toll on a number of athletes, and it looks like this one wants to take a step back and reevaluate things.

Four-star offensive guard Chasen Hines (6-foot-3, 350 pounds, Marshall, Tex.) was never officially committed to a school, but it looks like he has reopened his recruitment after naming a Top 5 last month.

That previous Top 5 included some heavy hitters: Oklahoma, Texas, LSU, TCU, and Texas A&M. However, Hines has publicly received three more offers since he released that list, including one from Oregon. Since there is so much time left in the 2018 recruiting cycle, it looks like Hines just wants to take a step back and not restrict himself to just those five teams.

Hines is listed as a four-star recruit by the 247Sports Composite. 247 also lists Texas as the current favorite to land the big 350-pounder.
