Well, someone had to take the spot.
After multiple Top 10 teams lost on Saturday — most notably previous Coaches Poll No. 2 Georgia — someone had to take over the spot behind No. 1 Alabama. For now, that team is Miami, who is soaring up the rankings across the board after a 41-8 win over Notre Dame on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, Georgia fell down to No. 7 in the poll, just behind Auburn. Auburn defeated Georgia by a 40-17 score on Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Also a weird fact: Wisconsin falls behind Clemson this week. Wisconsin beat Iowa 38-14 on Saturday, while Clemson defeated Florida State 31-14. The move by both teams is weird in that spot.
