Gomez was so angry because the bat didn't do it's job when he struck out swinging in the third inning during Houston's game against Boston. A message for the rest of the major league bats out there: don't piss off Gomez when he swings you.
It takes some kind of gamma-powered super hero to break a bat over his knee and not look he's suffered a thigh contusion.
