With the huge success of Deadpool in movie theaters and the advent of a new Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War it was only a matter of time until fans were clamoring for one of the best team ups in Marvel Comics history.

Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man and Deadpool team up quite often in the comics and present perfect mirror opposites of each other. Deadpool is the ruthless mercenary willing to kill for money while Spidey is the quintessential good guy who always wants to do the right thing. They have many misadventures together and create a nice storyline of their own rivaled only by the extended run Deadpool and Cable experienced during the mid-2000s.

During a recent episode of Collider Heroes, Matt Key, a producer on Kevin Smith's Fatman on Batman podcast, said he has heard some interesting rumblings:
"I've heard from a few of my sources, my little birds that Fox and Marvel have... kind of talked, but not really, but like there's interest from Fox, like, 'Ooh, y'know, what they did with Sony and Spider-Man is actually pretty cool, like, maybe...' We're years away from that ever possibly happening... but I think that's what it would take... Fox joining hands with Marvel..."
While that does sound incredibly vague, there is some promise in there. Marvel and Fox have already teamed up to develop TV series Hellfire and Legion that are expected to premiere within the next year. One thing we know for sure from previous reports is that some of the directors, producers, and writers developing these comic book films for Fox would love to work with Marvel, and some of them have said they are pushing for it.
Imagine a world where Deadpool, Cable, Spider-Man, the X-Men and the Avengers are hanging out and everyone is totally cool with it. That's the comics and everyone hopes to see it come alive on the big and small screens soon because that would be awesome.
