Unsuspecting security guard takes an errant pass right to the head during Miami game

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets experienced a second brutal loss of the season on Saturday. Paul Johnson's team held a 24-13 lead late in the third quarter but, with the help of a circus catch down the stretch, Mark Richt and the Miami Hurricanes were able to pull off a comeback victory to remain unbeaten.

While Miami was the big victor in the game and, by any description, Georgia Tech was the big loser, there was one additional person that was negatively impacted by the results on the field. The Jackets were driving for what became their final score of the day and on third and goal, quarterback TaQuon Marshall sailed a pass toward the end zone.

Marshall's throw was well beyond the field of play, though, and that is where an unsuspecting security guard comes in.

Ouch.

It is, of course, the job of the security guard to observe the stands and, on a play like this, being blindsided is not ideal but certainly something that is possible. Fortunately, it appears as if there was no actual damage down but it was immediately caught on the television cameras and some folks noticed.

That security guard is going home. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ #Miami #Gt

Tech QB threw the ball away and it nailed the security guard in the head. He walked off like β€œnah I don’t get paid enough for this” lmaooo

Did that security guard just quit after taking a football to the head in the Miami/Tech game?

Being in the line of fire is part of the gig as a security guard but it was pretty darn unlucky too.
