From the Salt Lake Tribune:

According to the Utah Highway Patrol, Holt was injured Saturday at 12:45 p.m. when his northbound SUV drifted into the median and crashed into wooden spools at a construction site. Holt over-corrected and, when the SUV rolled, he was thrown from the vehicle.

...

Investigators are trying to determine whether drowsy or inattentive driving may have been a factor. There were no witnesses to the crash.

Holt is still hospitalized at an Ogden medical center. This is the second straight offseason that Utah State players have gotten into a car crash. In June of last year, four Aggie football players sustained injuries in a car wreck involving a tractor trailer. The program just can't buy any good luck it seems.
