
Michigan's defense is already expected to be top notch once again this season, but it just got even deeper with the latest transfer announcement from Utah graduate transfer Casey Hughes. He announced on Twitter that he would be spending his last season of eligibility at Michigan.

Hughes is a cornerback and after redshirting in 2014 he played in 18 games between the 2015 and 2016 seasons. Thsi past season, he appeared in 11 games and recorded 35 tackles as well as a sack, 2.5 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles to go with a pass break up.
The 6-foot, 185-pound Hughes was originally a three-star recruit in the class of 2014 and was ranked as the No. 10 recruit out of Nevada according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He also had offers from San Diego State, Army, Colorado, UNVL and Oregon State among others.
