Tyson Kidd hasn't been seen on WWE television since injuring his neck in a match against Samoa Joe in 2015, but according to wrestling reporter Ryan Satin the former WWE tag team champion is returning in a non-wrestling role.
Via Pro Wrestling Sheet:
"According to sources, Kidd is currently being transitioned into a non-wrestling role. Since it's still fresh, one source says it's too early to define whether it'll be behind the scenes — like a producer/agent — or if he'll be used in some sort of on-air role that doesn't require wrestling."
It's not immediately clear what exactly the role will include, but it certainly sounds like the role will likely be a backstage producer of some kind.
Whatever the role may include, it's good to hear the company is bringing in Kidd for a non-wrestling role, kind of like what they did with Daniel Bryan on Smackdown Live, to give the very talented wrestler something to do now that he can no longer wrestle.

It's also been confirmed that Kidd will be returning to Total Divas next season with his wife Natalya.
