Tom Brady is on the short list when it comes to the famous alumni of the Michigan football program, and the four-time Super Bowl winning quarterback will be returning to Ann Arbor in September. Brady, who is famously suspended for the first four games of the 2016 NFL season as a result of "Deflategate", will be spending some of his "vacation" as an honorary team captain for the Wolverines before the Sept. 17 game against Colorado.

Jim Harbaugh broke the news of Brady's return to campus, and this should be a fun spectacle for all involved. Brady needs something to fill his free time on the heels of the controversial suspension, and since most NFL players have difficulty returning to their former colleges during the season, it is a perfect opportunity.

The Wolverines seem likely to enter the game as a significant favorite against Colorado, and the appearance of Brady could also attract a bit of additional attention for the program during a week that could be largely unspectacular in nature. Brady joined Jim Harbaugh, Derek Jeter, Ric Flair and company for Michigan's "Signing of the Stars" in February and, as far as we know, this will be the first public appearance for Brady in support of the program since then.

Tom Brady won't be on the field for a few weeks, but he'll stay in the public spotlight because, well, he's Tom Brady.
