Everyone has an opinion on Colin Kaepernick and, if you are famous enough, that opinion is covered in grand fashion. On Monday, that theory was put to the test by Tom Brady, as the legendary New England Patriots quarterback visited with Kirk and Callahan on WEEI in Boston.
Nicole Yang of Boston.com brings word of what Brady had to say on his weekly radio appearance with the station:
"I competed against him. He was a damn good quarterback. He's played at a high level and brought his teams to Super Bowls. That's how I feel about him."
Brady also expressed that he had "no idea" when asked if Kaepernick has been "blackballed" by NFL owners and that, of course, isn't a surprise. Still, Brady's positive opinion on Kaepernick as a quarterback is noteworthy, even if the future Hall of Fame signal-caller did admit that he does not know the former 49er well on a personal level.
With a lawsuit pending with collusion as the topic, it will soon become a legal matter as to whether the league's owners conspired to keep Kaepernick out of the league, but Tom Brady has officially weighed in and the verdict is largely football-related at this time.
