Former Georgia RB Todd Gurley is the best running back in this year's draft, even though he is coming off of ACL surgery. That just tells you how talented and great Gurley is. One team had him ranked No. 1 on its draft board, and that team could have been the St. Louis Rams.
The Rams took Gurley at No. 10, much earlier than anyone expected. It's also a shock because St. Louis was not mentioned at all as a possible landing destination for Gurley, but man, the Rams just got a star.
After he was selected, Gurley spoke to ESPN's Suzy Kolber on what the journey was like to get where he is today. It hasn't been the easiest for the former Bulldog, that's for sure. He was suspended four games last season for accepting improper benefits after signing some memorabilia and he is coming off a torn ACL.
But throughout all of the hurdles, Gurley seems to have embraced all of the different challenges he has gone through. I really hope he tears the NFL apart.
