It is implied that participation in sports like boxing and MMA can be life-threatening but rarely does that come to pass in such a direct line. Unfortunately, family and friends of 34-year-old fighter Tim Hague now know that all too well, as the UFC veteran has passed away.
Hague's sister, Jackie Neil, reported the news over the weekend on her Facebook page (h/t MMA Junkie):
"It is with incredible sadness, sorrow and heartbreak to report that Tim has passed away today. He was surrounded by family, listening to his favourite songs. We will miss him with so greatly."

Hague suffered damaging injuries as part of a boxing match on Friday. The report indicates that the UFC veteran (who fought five times with the promotion) engaged in a pure boxing match against a former professional football player, Adam Braidwood. Hague was knocked out in the second round and, while he was able to leave the ring, complications later arose that led to the tragic demise.
Further details will undoubtedly emerge in the near future with regard to official cause of death but this is a terrifying situation. Our thoughts and prayers are with Hague's friends and family at this difficult time.
