Five-star offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood is one of Alabama's top recruits for the class of 2017. He's a 6'6", 315-pound behemoth of a lineman and is ranked as the No. 5 tackle in the country according to 247Sports. He's also the No. 4 player in the state of Florida and intends to take a couple more visits despite being committed to the Crimson Tide.

Leatherwood intends to visit Michigan and USC and when he told coach Nick Saban about it, the evil genius cackled and told him his efforts were futile. Ok, maybe not. But Leatherwood tells ESPN about his exchange with Saban and it was a pretty classic Saban answer:
"I told coach Saban about my official visits," Leatherwood said. "He was like, 'Have fun.'"
That's a man who knows he has Leatherwood on his team next year and who is supremely confident that his program can keep just about any five-star recruit it wants no matter where else he visits. The tackle has been committed to Alabama for over a year now these visits must be purely due diligence at this point.
