
Here's a hit that should make all those in doubt about a girl playing high school football reevaluate their opinions.
It happened in a game between Pennsylvania's North Penn High School and Central Bucks East when North Penn kicker Kelly Macnamara snuffed out a big kick return by lowering the boom on the unsuspecting return man. And forget the part about it being a girl that made the tackle; This gets filed under one of the hardest hits of the season.

The Knights won the game 33-17 to remain undefeated at 7-0. And Macnamara, the first female football player in North Penn school history, posted the jarring hit to her Twitter account.
This article was originally published October 10, 2016. Macnamara was name First-Team All-Suburban One League as a senior in 2018, played in the regional All-Star game, and took her talents to Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she currently plays for the Crimson Hawks' lacrosse team.
