With spring practice out of the way, college football coaching staffs have turned their attention to the recruiting trail.
When it comes to the talented 2017 class, Ohio State is currently leading the way with 10 commitments from the ESPN top 300 class.
With more than half of the recruits (174 in total) still available, here's an early look at how the top schools would play out as of now.
Ohio State - 10
Oklahoma - 8
Alabama - 7
Clemson - 6
Georgia - 6
Michigan - 5
Notre Dame - 5
Florida - 4
LSU - 4
Miami - 4
Texas - 4
Texas A&M - 4
While there's certainly plenty of talent remaining, both of the top two players in the 2017 pool (OT Trey Smith and OT Isaiah Wilson) are expected to be the most sought after.
