It appears the nation's No. 2 JUCO recruit will not be attending Alabama as planned.
On Sunday, four-star linebacker Gary Johnson (6-foot-1, 225 pounds, Birmingham, AL) announced that he would be decommitting from Alabama due to complications with the SEC's academic requirements.

Johnson will not be able to attend any other SEC schools because of the same issue. It's unclear which schools that Johnson will be able to get into, but if the SEC is out of the question, then it is possible that the other Power 5 conferences may be out as well.
Johnson is rated the No. 2 overall JUCO recruit of the 2017 class by 247Sports.
