The Big 12 won't have a title game this season, but the conference will bring it back starting in 2017. While they have taken a while to lay out the logistics, the Big 12 finally announced on Friday that Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX would be the host for the title game.

San Antonio and Kansas City were reportedly under consideration as well. Both locations had held the game in the past, but Cowboys Stadium had held it the last two years before the last round of conference expansion.
Since the Big 12 only has 10 teams, the title game next season will be held between the Top 2 teams in the conference standings. That means the championship game is guaranteed to be a rematch, which could cause a lot of controversy in the future with the College Football Playoff.
