Michigan has finally gotten some much-needed help at the quarterback position.
Former Ole Miss starter Shea Patterson officially announced his commitment to the Wolverines on Monday via Twitter and will transfer to UM.

Patterson attended Michigan's basketball game against UCLA on Saturday during an on-campus visit, which resulted in the crowd chanting "We want Shea!"
Last season, Patterson threw for 2,259 yards, 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions, while also recording a 63.8 completion percentage. However, he missed his final four games due to a PCL knee injury.
Patterson's eligibility for the 2018 season has yet to be determined, although a report by 247Sports last week claimed the quarterback may be able to petition to play right away for the Wolverines, following the Rebels' recent NCAA sanctions.
Patterson ranked as the No. 1 pro-style quarterback, No. 1 player from the state of Florida and the No. 4 overall prospect for the 2016 national recruiting cycle, according to 247Sports' Composite rankings.
