LSU missed out on a big catch when it failed to reel in Louisiana product Travis Etienne.
The four-star running back announced Thursday that he'd decided on Clemson as his landing spot after naming Louisiana State as one of his top three choices back in November, then proceeded to dis his hometown school by calling Clemson "the real Death Valley."

That prompted quick responses on Twitter from both a coach and a player. Head coach Ed Orgeron's special assistant, Derek Ponamsky, tweeted a picture with no words—-an image of the crowd at LSU's Death Valley stadium.

Former LSU running back Jacob Hester also weighed in with a tweet pointing out the sizable difference in seating capacity between the two stadiums, which favors the Baton Rouge Tigers by over 20,000.
The 5-11, 210 pound native of Jeninfgs, La., who runs a reported 4.43 40 time, is the country's 16th-ranked running back and the No. 8 overall prospect in the state of Louisiana, according to 247Sports.
