Player drops the hammer on fan who skipped his sons game to watch an NFL game ·

Ricardo Allen, safety for the Atlanta Falcons, was not messing around on Twitter the other day when confronted by a fan for his team's bad play.

Atlanta lost to the Miami Dolphins, 20-17, at home. This came a week after the Falcons lost to the Bills at home, 23-17.

For what many thought of as one of the best teams in the NFL, two home losses in a row was a terrible look. And for what it's worth, Allen seemed to agree. He told ESPN reporter Vaughn McClure that losing at home was disrespectful to the "ourselves, our coaches, our owner, our fans."

McClure tweeted Allen's thoughts, which obviously got a lot of play from Atlanta fans, but one fan, in particular, stood out for his response to Allen. That fan tweeted that Allen and his teammates disrespected the fans bad, but in his case, the disrespect seemed to be worse because he missed his son's game to watch the Falcons play.

Allen, who was apparently following the story, saw that response and went hard after the fan, saying that in fact, he's the one who was disrespectful:

You disrespected your son by skipping his game to come be a fan at something you have no ties to. Get priorities right before coming at me

This was a pretty harsh take from Allen, and it's not every day you see an NFL player call out one of his team's fans for saying something stupid. Of course, the fan went back at Allen saying that he's been a fan of the Falcons since 1990, but at that point, it was already a lost cause.
