Texas suffered one of its most embarrassing losses in the school's history under Charlie Strong on Saturday. The Longhorns took a bad "L" on the chin at home against the Big 12's worst team in the Kansas Jayhawks. They lost 24-21 in overtime and hadn't lost at home to Kansas since 1938!

That will usually be enough to fire a coach and it looks like the administration might have made its choice. HookEm.com is reporting that school officials have decided to fire Strong, but the announcement won't come until Monday. "It will happen for sure. The question is when," said a source to Hook 'Em.

Strong is 16-20 in three seasons with the Longhorns and may become the first coach to oversee three consecutive losing seasons since 1936-38. He currently has the lowest winning percentage of any coach in UT football history and is 5-10 against ranked opponents in three years. Those are usually numbers that get a guy fired even if he is as nice a guy as Strong.
