Tennessee’s Jonathan Kongbo will play DE this spring. He has lost from almost 280 pounds to a chiseled 260. Played DT late last year

Kongbo played mostly defensive tackle last season for the Vols, but after dropping 20 pounds, the 260-pound Kongbo is moving over to strong side defensive end.

As a sophomore, Kongbo started off the 2016 season at defensive end, but injuries forced him to move to defensive tackle.

Kongbo recorded three tackles-for-loss, one sack and one interception in 2016 with Tennessee. Tennessee coach Butch Jones will look for Kongbo to fill in for Barnett, who recorded 13 sacks last season.

Tennessee's spring practice begins Tuesday.
