The refs are part of the field after all.
Bowling Green wide receiver Ronnie Green found that out the hard way on Wednesday. Green caught the ball on what looked like a perfectly executed bubble screen and he had a chance to take the catch home for a touchdown. Unfortunately for Green — both of the Ronnie and Bowling varieties — the umpire got in the way, essentially tackling Green after an 11-yard gain.
The play didn't matter too much for Bowling Green; they beat Ohio by a score of 62-24 in some classic mid-week #MACtion.
