Griffith decommitted from Florida State at the end of November amid rumors that then head coach Jimbo Fisher could be jumping to Texas A&M. Fisher jump the next day proved that Griffith's assessment of that situation was on the money.
After the decommit, Notre Dame was immediately touted as the favorite to land the talented four-star, and now the Fighting Irish have locked down yet another top ranked recruit. With Griffith in the fold, Notre Dame now has 19 commitments in their 2018 recruiting class. They currently rank sixth in the nation in the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
Griffith ranks as the No. 11 cornerback in the country. As of press time, he is Notre Dame's highest-ranked recruit at 247Sports.
