Pro wrestler tragically passes away at just 29 years old

According to the Wrestling Observer, independent pro wrestler Wayne VanDyke who used the ring name Richard Delicious passed away on Saturday morning after battling heart issues for two weeks. He was only 29.

According to the Wrestling Observer, independent pro wrestler Wayne VanDyke — who used the ring name "Richard Delicious" — passed away on Saturday morning after battling heart issues for two weeks. He was only 29.

Per reports from the live event at the time VanDyke suffered a heart attack in-ring during an April 29 show for Ronin Pro Wrestling in Florida. CPR had to be performed immediately, and VanDyke had to be rushed to the hospital. VanDyke suffered two more heart attacks before being placed in a medically induced coma to prevent more heart attacks from occurring.

Condolences poured in from the wrestling world after news of VanDyke's passing emerged on social media.

Most recently, VanDyke was a two-time cruiserweight champion in the American Combat Wrestling (ACW) promotion.
