The Philadelphia 76ers' "Trust The Process" days may be behind them, as the team is now an overwhelming favorite to make the playoffs in the Eastern Conference next season, according to SportsLine.
According to the service, with the additions of J.J. Redick and Markelle Fultz, a healthy Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, and more, the the 76ers have an 80 percent chance of making the playoffs next season.
Via CBS Sports:
"In fact, according to projections ran by SportsLine data scientist Stephen Oh, the Sixers should make the playoffs next season. Based on the SportsLine simulations, adding Redick gives the Sixers an 80 percent chance of making the postseason, and projects them to finish sixth in the conference with 42 wins."
With Paul George heading to Oklahoma City, Jimmy Butler heading to Minnesota, and many more major moves that involved superstars heading West, the 76ers making the playoffs next season is definitely realistic. Suddenly, the 76ers are littered with depth, with a few more moves to make this summer, and, if healthy, this certainly has the look of a playoff team. Still, SportsLine is obviously betting on the core of Embiid, Simmons, and Fultz staying healthy for the majority of this season, which is possible. The 76ers went 28-54 in 2016-17.You Might Also Like
