The iconic blue and gold of Notre Dame is one of the most recognizable brands in the sports world. The Fighting Irish paint their helmets with 23.9-karat gold, a tradition passed down from student managers throughout the years (Today, Hydro Graphics, Inc. takes care of the painting).
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish brand travels across the country, as the FBS Independent competes with the best the country has to offer, having no allegiance to any football conference. When Notre Dame travels to Yankee Stadium to take on the Syracuse Orange, the Fighting Irish are getting a New York-inspired makeover.
On Saturday, November 17 at 2:30 p.m. EST, the Irish will take on the Orange in the Shamrock Series game at Yankee Stadium.
The Bronx is home to the berth of hip-hop and the New York Yankees, and Notre Dame is bringing the heat when they walk out to play Syracuse in these new alternate uniforms.

With a little help from Under Armour, two of the most iconic brands in sports have created an all-time mashup of their famous logos and colors.
The legendary gold helmets are taking a backseat for the neutral site game, as the Irish will wear to these matte navy helmets and crossover helmet decal.

The pinstripe sleeves creeping onto the traditional navy and gold jersey is such a unique look, and these get two thumbs up in my book.
In college football, having a variety of styles and jerseys acts as a recruiting tool as much as having a great coaching staff. Notre Dame is heading to a major market, and they're putting these uniforms on display for the entire country.
Notre Dame football enters its ninth season under head coach Brian Kelly, and open the season against Michigan in one of opening weekend's biggest games.
They won't roll out these New York Yankees-inspired uniforms until the second-to-last game of their schedule, after which they'll head to California to take on their rival, the USC Trojans.
Expect these Shamrock Series uniform alternates to fly off the shelf for the limited time they're around.
