Only for the poor student in the video above, his glee brought him on a direct path toward Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban.

As the joyful fan bolted toward Saban, a state trooper made the save, sending a chop straight to the throat and ruining his day.

According to AL.com:

"An Alabama spokesman said the unidentified student didn't appear to be attempting an attack on Saban, his celebratory bliss simply carried him into the path of the exit plan."
